Konya and Sleeper Train

I have always wanted to do more travel by railway. Besides being eco-friendly, one can also relax and even lay down to sleep on a sleeper train. With some good researching and pre-booking tickets through a travel agent in Istanbul, we secured two cabins on the Konya-Izmir train. We drove 2.5 hours to Konya and got on an overnight sleeper train, which would take 12 hours to get to Izmir. It turns out to be a very rewarding experience. Not only did we cut down on our carbon emission, we also got to see some beautiful scenery and enjoyed some amazing Turkish kabobs on our way to Konya.

We walked a shopping mall in Konya. Konya is the ancient Iconium where St Paul preached the gospel in his first and second missionary journey
