Kingston Upon Thames, England

We slept for 12 hours and feel well rested from the jet lag in our Day 2 in London. Tiffany’s cousin lives in Taddington and her home is on the bank of the River Thames. We visited the Bushy Park, which is one of the Royal Parks in the UK. I enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere of the park. After a delightful lunch, we strolled around the shopping streets in the nearby Kingston, sipped Turkish chai at a local cafe, and checked out the local food market.

We enjoyed our first ‘fish and chips’ in the UK. The fish fillet is tender and juicy, while the beer batter is light and crunchy. It is served with potato chips, tartar sauce, and meshed green peas.

I was surprised to find out that grocery in general are about 30% cheaper than in the US.
