Langkawi, Malaysia

Langkawi is located in the northern part of Malayasia. In fact, it is so close to the border that we could see Thailand from Langkawi. My family rendezvoused in Langkawi after Tiffany and the children visited a friend in Singapore and my few days in Kuala Lumpur.

Langkawi from the air
The cafe area in our B&B. The facility is located in the middle of the rice fields. The host is very kind and served us an Indian breakfast and expressos for breakfast.
The cows and the water buffulo lined up to return to the owner for their dinner.
We lived in the middle of a rice paddle, and every night we had a hard time sleeping because of the loud noice from all the insects, frogs, and reptiles in our vicinity!

Sandy Skulls Beach

We identified the best spot for snorkeling on the island and went there 3 times to snorkel and relax.

Ayer Hangat in the North Shore

We stayed in Ayer Hangat, a small town on the north coast for the last 2 nights of our time in Langkawi.

Our room has direct access to the beach. When I went into the water at night, I was stung by the jelly fish so I immediately left the water. We didn’t ended up swimming here.

Kilim Geoforest and Mangrove Park

We hired a private speedboat to tour the famous mangrove forest on the island.

Gideon and Carina each got a turn to drive the speedboat when we got to the open water!
