We took the early high speed train and arrived in Madrid at 10:30am yesterday. El Escorial, Spain We picked up our rental car to begin our road trip to explore the Northwest region of Madrid. Our first stop is the Royal Monastery in El Escorial (Real Monasterio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial).

Dublin and Newgrange, Ireland
The weather was lovely in Ireland in the last few days, which was a rarity! We would spend our last three days in Dublin and its surrounding areas. By the early morning of Nov 5, 2023, our rental car arrived in the heart of the the city of Dublin.
Dingle Peninsula, Ring of Kerry, Cork, Ireland
The main sights we wanted to see are in the south-western side of the Emerald Isle. We stayed one night in Dingle, a fishing town known for its beautiful surroundings and the traditional Irish music scene. And it did not disappoint!

From Neyland, we drove east for 2.5 hours and arrived in St Fagan’s, the outskirt of Cardiff, which is the capital city of Wales. St. Fagans National Museum of History is an open-air museum. It features a beautiful garden, a castle, and many historic buildings moved on-site for their preservation.
